MEDITATION: ENJOYING QUALITIES OF SPIRIT
1) Become silent, close your eyes, and breathe through the nostrils and in and out from the area just above the abdomen. Begin the breathing with three deep breaths, or more if needed to calm the body.
2) Once calm, after the heart-mind has deepened in awareness and presence, bring to awareness and interiorly speak the word love. Choose either the inbreath or outbreath for this repetition. Remain meditating on this word love, letting the sense, the energy, of it arise in the heart-mind. Sense your being saturated physically with that energy love. Do this as long as you desire.
3) Move to meditating on the word joy, letting the sense, the energy, of it arise in the heart-mind. Sense your being saturated physically with that energy joy. Do this as long as you desire.
4) Move to meditating on the word peace, letting the sense, the energy, of it arise in the heart-mind. Sense your being saturated physically with that energy peace. Do this as long as you desire.
5) Come slowly out of the Quiet. Open the eyes. Carry this love, joy, and peace within you, and spread it. Indeed, make a commitment to do so. If you lose this sense of love, joy, and peace, you can return to it at anytime, by turning the heart-mind in awareness to these blessings.
Reflect on the blessings life offers you. How do you relate to the challenge of trusting Grace? Think upon a time you welcomed the unfamiliar and it brought you blessing and joy. What was that like? Are you being challenged now to move more deeply into trust, beyond the boundaries of past conditioning? What is that like for you? Peace to ALL!
